This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application ABC Phonics Kids ("the App", "we", "us", "our") handles information when you use it. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. About the App
ABC Phonics Kids is an educational app that teaches English phonics to children aged 3–8 through interactive listening activities, letter sounds, blending, and short stories. It is designed primarily for children and is built to comply with:
- Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) — United States
- GDPR Article 8 (GDPR-K) — European Union / United Kingdom
- Google Play Families Policy
- Apple App Store — Kids Category Guidelines
2. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to run the App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
- Learning progress & preferences — stored locally on your device only. We do not upload it to our servers.
- Anonymous technical data — basic device information (model, OS version, language) and crash reports, used only to keep the App working and fix bugs. This data is not used to identify any child.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
The App does not collect:
- Names, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses from children
- Location data
- Photos, videos, or voice recordings
- Contacts or social media logins
- Advertising identifiers (AAID / IDFA)
4. How We Use Information
We use the limited information only to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App
- Save your learning progress locally on the device
- Process optional in-app purchases through the app store
- Diagnose crashes and fix bugs
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information to third parties.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run the App. They process only what is needed for their function, under their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) — securely stores and delivers the App's audio content, and collects anonymous crash reports.
- App Stores & RevenueCat — in-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS), with RevenueCat validating purchase receipts. We never receive or store your payment details.
We do not integrate any advertising networks or social media SDKs (e.g., Facebook, TikTok).
6. No Advertising
The App does not display any advertising. We show no banner, interstitial, or rewarded ads, use no advertising SDKs, and do not use advertising identifiers (AAID / IDFA).
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
The App is directed to children and complies with COPPA and GDPR Article 8 (GDPR-K). We:
- Do not knowingly collect personal information from any child.
- Do not use behavioral advertising, profiling, or tracking on children.
- Do not let children chat, post publicly, or share data with others through the App.
- Gate all in-app purchases behind a parental gate before checkout.
Parental Rights
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child provided personal information, or you want to review or delete any information related to your child, contact us at trungthuc89@gmail.com with the subject line "Parental Request — ABC Phonics Kids". You may review, request deletion, refuse further collection, or withdraw consent at any time. We respond within 30 days.
8. Data Security, Retention & Your Rights
- Local-first: Progress and preferences are stored on the device. The App requires no account, sign-up, or login.
- Encryption in transit: Any network requests (e.g., downloading audio) use HTTPS/TLS.
- Retention: Anonymous crash/diagnostic data is retained for at most 90 days, then deleted.
- Your rights: Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR / CCPA), you may request access to or deletion of any information we hold. We do not sell or share personal information. To exercise any right, email us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
