These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the mobile application ABC Phonics Kids ("the App", "we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you ("you", "the user", "parent or legal guardian") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is intended for children aged 3–8 and must be used under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By allowing a child to use the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the authority to accept these Terms on the child's behalf.
1. The Service
ABC Phonics Kids is an educational app that teaches English phonics to young children through interactive listening activities, letter sounds, blending, and short stories. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial, educational use only.
We may add, change, or remove features, lessons, or content at any time to improve the learning experience.
2. License to Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices that you own or control, solely for your family's personal educational use.
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Resell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content
- Extract, redistribute, or republish the App's audio, images, or curriculum content
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms
- Circumvent the parental gate or any security measure of the App
All content in the App — including audio recordings, artwork, text, the phonics curriculum, and software — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
3. Parental Supervision & Responsibilities
- The App is designed for children but is intended to be set up and supervised by a parent or guardian.
- You are responsible for supervising your child's use of the App, including device settings, screen time, and any in-app purchases.
- You are responsible for keeping your device passcode and store account credentials secure so that purchases cannot be made without your authorization.
4. In-App Purchases
The App may offer optional in-app purchases to unlock additional learning content (for example, individual levels or content bundles).
- The App offers at least one free unit per level so you can try the content before buying.
- Paid content is sold on a per-level basis, with an optional discounted bundle covering multiple levels.
- All purchases are gated behind a parental gate before checkout.
- All purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). We do not collect or store your payment details.
- Prices are shown in your local currency at the point of purchase and may vary by region and over time.
- Purchased content is tied to your store account and can be restored on your devices via the "Restore Purchases" option.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by the platform store, not by us, and are subject to the store's policy:
- Google Play: refunds are requested through Google Play.
- Apple App Store: refunds are requested through Apple ("Report a Problem").

5. Advertising

6. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle information and our commitment to COPPA and GDPR-K compliance. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for its intended educational purpose. You agree not to use the App to harm the App, other users, or any third party, and not to interfere with the App's operation or security.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that educational outcomes will result from its use. The App is a supplementary learning aid and is not a substitute for professional educational instruction.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the App (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or any feature if you violate these Terms or use the App in a manner that could cause harm or legal liability. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App publisher is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
